I am back here with a “How to” post, which will guide you to Enable or Disable Windows Task Manager.
Well, Many times you might have got some error saying
Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator
In that case it becomes pretty necessary to know How to Enable Task Manager, because Task Manager is the center of all the processes going on in Windows and your computer.
Well, of the two processes, one which i am going to explain first is
How to Disable Windows Task Manager
To Disable Windows Task Manager, Follow the steps given below
1. Click on Start Button and then Click on Run option.
2. Type regedit and press Enter.
3. In the left bar, Click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Microsoft >>Windows>> CurrentVersion>> Policies >> System.
If you can not find System Folder under policies, Create one by right clicking on Policies >> Keys and name it as System
4. Now, Right click at an Empty Area and choose Create New DWORD (32) bit Value. Name it DisableTaskMgr and press Enter.
5. Double Click DisableTaskMgr and set it’s Hexadecimal Value as 1. Press Enter and reboot your Computer.
And you are done. You have just disabled your task manager. Whenever you’ll press ctrl+alt+del, you will get an error message saying “Task Manager has been Disabled by your administrator“.
How to Enable Windows Task Manager?
If you later decide to Enable it again, Just Go to DWORD value, which we have created just now and Simply Delete it or change the Hexadecimal Value to 0.
There is one more way to Enable it. Double Click on DisableTaskMgr, and Click on Delete.
